FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO I NEED A DEPOSIT?
YES. We require a deposit to secure your appointment. The amount will depend on the artist you are making the appointment with and the size of the tattoo.
The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE but is directly applied to the cost of the final session of the tattoo. If you need to reschedule your appointment we require 48hrs notice. If proper notice is given we will hold the deposit for your rebooked appointment. If you do not provide 48hrs notice or cancel or no show, your deposit is forfeited. If you want to make another appointment you will need a NEW deposit and the same rules apply . Deposits are NON-TRANSFERRABLE between artists Deposits can be made via e-transfer to each artist or in the studio by cash.
WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
Do not consume alcohol the night before your tattoo. Alcohol thins the blood and you may bleed more during your session. This can impede the healing process possibly causing more scabbing and a risk of loss of some ink. DO NOT come to your appointment under the influence of alcohol of illegal drugs. If you are taking any medication, check with your doctor first to ensure there is no conflict with your medication, the tattoo process or products use during the tattoo application. If you have any medical considerations that you are concerned may be in conflict with or be a factor in the tattoo process , consult your doctor.
Please eat a good meal before your tattoo. You may bring a drink and a snack as well. Wear comfortable clothing that won't be damaged by ink transfer.
DO YOU OFFER TOUCH UPS?
Provided you have cared for your tattoo as instructed by your artist, we will offer one free touch up within 6 months of the application of your tattoo. Anytime after that 6 months mark is considered a re-work and regular rates will apply.
Please note that hand and feet tattoos may require multiple touch-ups. This is an important factor to consider when choosing the placement of your tattoo. ALSO, it is important to note that it is best to wait at least 5 weeks between the initial tattoo application and the touch up. This allows time for the tattoo to settle and the skin to heal. Going back into the area too soon runs the risk of creating scar tissue and not seeing the true nature of the heal and what may need said touch-ups.
CAN I GET A PRICE ESTIMATE FOR THE TATTOO?
Price estimates are just that, estimates. The cost of a tattoo depends on many different factors; how detailed the piece is , style, size, placement, colour ,black/grey etc. The best way to get an idea is to have a free consultation with the artist. Price estimates are not given over the phone or email.
